Default 2000 Silverado 1500 leaf spring question

2000 Silverado 1500 leaf spring question. I bought my truck it has 116000 miles on it and the rear leafs look flat with no arch. I was going to just get another set from a junk yard or should I get a add a leaf? Like I said my leafs are flat look in bad shape. Would the 1500 hd leafs fit also. Thank you

If you buy from a junk yard you may end up with the same issue. Theres shops that re-arch old springs. If you don't have a spring shop near you then I would start with a add-a-leaf, there cheap and easy to install.

Is your rear end sagging a lot on it's own or when it's under load (towing, a lot of stuff in the bed) ? If it's sagging on it's own the springs could just be worn out. If it's under load, you might want to consider helper springs or possibly air bags. An add a leaf is pretty much a band aid for the issue, it won't actually alleviate the problem, only mask it.
