Thread: Art Bumper

  1. #1

    Default Art Bumper

I just repainted my 2006's front bumper. While my grille is nice and unique, I felt the truck could use a bit more "custom" up front.

You've probably seen this done in Sharpie Marker, on a Lamborghini Gallardo. This however, is done in nice black enamel, and won't immediately fade and look crummy.

Citing various influences on my psyche,

I just randomly drew stuff in.

    Once I'd got it all...

filled in, I went over it with

a nice thick coat of clear enamel to protect it.

The finished Art Bumper. In a few weeks, I'll wet-sand it, apply another coat of clear, and polish it out to a high shine.

Looks great. I like the way you used the pic to cover your license plate.
Are your flames still there? Hard to tell from the one pic of the hood.

I used to have a 2007 mitsu Eclipse and I did the dash similar to that. It was done with metallic silver sharpie and ALOT of time.

I've considered doing this to a few pieces on my truck I just haven't completely convinced myself.

Great job on your bumper though! Very Unique!
