Default 5.3 rear engine oil leak

Hey guys.. My 2001 burb 4 by 4 has a rear engine oil leak. It is leaking at the mating point of the engine and transmisssion. It is slowing getting worse. Any guesses??

    Thank you in advance

How many miles on the engine? Could be an oil pan gasket or the rear bearing main oil seal. I have the same issue but mine appears to be the oil pan gasket. You have to raise the engine a couple of inches to get clearance to remove the oil pan on the 4x4. I have heard you can use a jack and lift from below but that does not sound too safe to me. Not sure where you put the jack (s) for one thing. I do not have a engine lift or a tree with a stout limb so it looks like the local garage will install my genuine GM parts.
