Default molding falling off 3 year old truck

the drivers side front door molding fell off. when i took the truck to the dealer for them to take care of some recall issues i asked about the molding. they said due to the mileage 58000 they didn't think they would be able to do anything about it, but said they would talk to the service manager about it.
to me an item like this should have nothing to do with mileage. wouldn't it be just good business sense to take the 10 or 15 min. to stick the thing back on while they had it. wonder whats going to fall off next.

You know from what I've been reading on this site the last few months about how the dealers and GM are pissing off the customers they better wake up before Ford really kicks there ass's.

Too late, Toyota already trains their dealerships to B.S. their customers so heavy they don't know what's really wrong with their cars. ;)

That's a surprise after only 3 years. Usually the adhesive is really difficult to get off. Just look at some of the threads that modders have posted on here. If they won't repair it for you, just fix it yourself & forgo the aggravation of dealing with them.

I just got done taking my molding off my 2008 silvy and i must say it looks much cleaner than the moldings on. All you need is some adhesive remover a nice clean towel and some rubbing compound to finish the job off and also can use the polishing compound also like i did.

You must be lucky....please go buy a lottery ticket NOW! Any truck I have owned Dodge or GM I could never get the moldings or lettering off easily.

You could use 3M 2 side auto tape - that stuff is great.

The best way for everyone to convey the dissapointment with a customer service issue is not to buy from those dealers...go to another GM dealer - its really a staffing problem not a product problem.

Get a Eraser Wheel from your local auto parts supply...take it right off. You dont want a Ford! You better browse the ford Forums first!

Come on People..you cant throw the baby out with the bath water.....

I dont know if that applies here.....just wanted to say it.

X2,,, molding falling off is nothing Ministock. You buy a Ford, you'll not only be crying the blues, but you'll be shooting blood out your eyes
