cross member replacement
Well guys, i've been away from the forum for a little while but i need some advice.
My 1995 1500 has quite a bit of rust on the frame so i've been cutting out and replacing what i can and i'm going to POR 15 the entire frame when its all said and done. I just ordered a new cross member from the GM parts club since the old one has rotted away, but before i cut it out i wanted to check in with you guys first. Do i need to install any type of temporary support or can i just go ahead and cut it out and replace it without any worries of somthing buckling or twisting.
Thanks for the help

As long as you have 3 good cross members remaining you should be able to cut out the one without twisting the frame. If your not sure just add the extra support anyway and move on. extra support temporary can't hurt anything. Good luck with your rust I'm not far behind you on my 69 not looking forward to all the surgery.
