Any Advice while installing HIDs in a 2011?
Just bought a set of HIDs for both my fogs and lows. Any advice on an easy install?! As well as I'm a new member. My names Jesse. From Edmonton, Canada.

Welcome to the club Jesse!!!! Aftermarket HID kits are fairly simple to install, just make sure you mount your ballasts in a dry, secure location as far away from the elements as possible and you'll be fine.04 ECSB Custom silver & grey, Soft 8's, BFG KO's, ReadyLift Leveling Kit, Hellwig front sway bar, K&N filter, DeeZee EZ-Down, Rhino liner, Alpine CDE103BT, Rockford 6.5's, 12" V.A.T. In the future if you wanted to get ccfl halo projector headlights. The projector's will look allot better than the stock headlight housing with all the reflectors being the light will scatter and blind people easier compared to a projector is one straight beam and also can aim them to keep from blinding people. I got the notto 10,000k hid kit low beams and plan on buying the high beam's in 15,000k for a nice blue look.

I'm looking at projectors right now. Maybe in a couple weeks il grab some. Thank you. I went with lows and fogs at 4500k. Wanted more of a stock HID look.

i have 8000k HID's in my 2009 and it's been a HEADACHE. you need to turn off the entrace and exit lighting and then install the day time running lights relay harness. ive done both and still get one side of the low-beams trip off. its intermittant but still a freaking pain.

Welcome to the club. The big thing I would say is make sure you use a relay harness or your drls will destroy your hid ballasts. It's good to see another Edmontonian on here too

Definitely get the relay kit, it is worth the extra $10-15 and wire it directly to the battery. The ground for the kit is very importatnt as well as it will get the whole ground for both lights. My ballasts are seven years old and still working, moved them from my Astro to the Silverado and they worked fine for a while without the relay kit but them they stopped firing all the time on startup, so I installed a quality relay kit and now I never get a misfireon the lights. I have left the DRLs functional, so my headlights stay on constantly.

A little over a week ago and have had nothing but great things to say. I didn't get the relay as when I posted this thread, I had already ordered them. But so far so good. This is what my drls are now. I disabled my normal ones and went with the fogs as drls. I think it gives it a little bit of a mean look.
And I have some pictures of my HIDs all on. Anyone else from Edmonton?! If so feel free to message me. Out of all my friends, I'm the only one that's a hillbilly haha. My friends rides consist of speed 3s and sti's. Except for one dodge guy. But let's face it, it's a dodge. More chevy friends, the better. ;) here's some pics.
