Default 2006 silverado spark plug boot remmoval

I have a 06 with a 5.3 liter silverado and was wondering if anyone can give me tips to remove them because they seem to be stuck.

You could look at picking-up a.......Spark-Plug Terminal Pliers/Boot Puller, to help with removing the plugs wires.

If there the factory wires I'm sure they are baked on. Just twist a pull, if you tear one of them most likely it was bad. Think of you engine compartment as a oven. Although wires don't melt, they bake. Over time it takes its toll on all wiring under the hood.

Well got a new set of wires today and installed those and finished changing to the new e3 spark plugs.

Your 5.3 is not going to like the E3 plugs.

The factory plug is the best plug for your 5.3

Lots of people on here and other forums have stated they have had bad luck when it comes to the E3s and the Vortec motors. For some reason people have reported a lot of failures soon after replacing their stock plugs with these. I was ready to try them until I saw all the negative posts about them. I hope you have good luck with them. I opted for new set of stock plugs.. after 150K miles with no problems, why chance it?

Just my 2 cents worth... I tried the E3's in my 07 4.3L. Iwas able to get about 25,000 miles out of them before the started to misfire and generally perform poorly. Up until then they did perform as advertised. I replace them with stock plugs and have had no problems. Hope they do work out for you, but keep us posted.
