Small electrical short
I had a new Pioneer stereo, an amp and sub installed a couple of months ago. Now every now and then the power just clicks of. It comes right back on and doesn't interfere with driving. Sometimes when I turn off the key it completely shuts down, no lights no door chime no nothing. Once I put the key in and tried to turn it on after it shut down and nothing. I tried again and it was fine. Not that this is killing me or anything but it is kind of annoying and I am concerned there may be a bigger problem. The installer used all of the extra components needed for the Silverado, ie... the door chime modual thing that is needed on GM. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if so, what did you try, and was it successful?

Have you brought this to the attention of your local dealer? I can also look into this with your VIN. Please feel free to keep me posted regarding your progress either way. Thank you in advance.

Who installed everything? Have you checked the Fuse? The ground wires?
