Thread: Steve's new job

    Default Steve's new job

I have accepted a new position with a growing software company in Dallas to be their webmaster, so the time and duration of my presense on this site will be changing over the next few weeks.

First off, I will be driving an extra 45 mins to an hour each day, but I might be working less total hours, so who knows if I will be around less? Plus, I can work from home one day per week, so I will save that driving time, probably on Fridays.

Anyhow, I plan to work hard to get everything up and running there at first, just like any new job, but then it should settle down after a while and I may have more time to commit to the site after that. Plus, I'll be doing mostly web related stuff, and I now do print, CDs, software demos and travel to shows to pitch software ... so I'll be more focused on stuff that will help build this site as well.

Throw me a PM if you need anything over the next couple of weeks and I don't respond on the site!

Congrats Steve, I wish you the best with the new job! :D

If I can't figure something out while you're gone I'll just keep pushing buttons until it's fixed. ;)

Thaks guys, I was with my last company for four years and grew with it. It's sad to leave, but this opportunity came along. Not to name names, but they're a $100million company that is poised to continue growing. They sell software to what they call "Global 2000" companies, so the biggest of the big across world.

Anyhow, I start in two week!

I start my new job tomorrow! I'm not sure about the commute and the drive time, but I get to work from home part of the time too. I should get a new Dell Notebook as part of the gig, so I'll have some portability options there as well.
