    Default transmission swap in a 2010 silverado. how hard?

    im swapping a built 6l80 into my 2010 silverado because the old one took a **** on me. how hard is the change out. and how long is the process. with 4x4 and all

    Depends on your mechanical skills and tools. If you do without a lift, hand tools, no compresser, figuire a weekend.

    im doing it a shop on the military post im at. 10,00lb lift and all the tools i can every dream of at my disposal. so your saying a couple days cause im pretty good with mechanics and i have a couple mechanics helping too.

    Should be a half day with those tools and assistance.

    Yep, with all those tools and help 1/2 day. Let use know how the new trans works out, who built it and what was done to it.

    its a completely built 6l80 from a local shop here in kentucky. ill have a full list here in a couple days.
