I have this week off but of course why would I kick back....My mission was to build a 8x12 garden shed. I'm sick of garden **** in my work shop so I dealt with it. Soon I can banish the rakes, shovels and other assorted garden tools.I didn't take a picture on monday but here is tuesday and wednesday respectively....I'm kinda doing it myself so I'm tired and sore now that its Thursday.
Now I need to build doors and trim out the joint.![]()

you going to cut the bottom plate off of the deck for the door? I know that would be annoying as hell to me to have to pick the lawnmower and other assorted crap over. However, it looks awesome, espcially for 3 days work. Take a break, drink a beer, even God took a day off.... You gonna put power in it?

Cableguy..........Carpenter?......Nice job, from one carpenter to another!!!
Are you going to make your door or use a pre-hung?
and I know that you remembered to space your vert's correctly for insulation........you don't want your tool to get cold in the winter!!!!!LOL
Take a break .....it's Labor Day Weekend

I've got just a 120 vac going out there for a light and plug. This is for the wifes gardening and tools. No need for heat LOL. I'm making a split door 32"/16" cuz I made it a 4' opening (In case I get a riding lawn mower) Yes bottom plate I cut out today. That front window is a little high cuz I'm going to put in a work bench/potting bench for the wife. I'll put a ramp or some stairs in the middle with some flower beds either side of door. Cool eh! Now the wife can stay the hell out of my shop...and take her gardening junk out there. Potting on my work bench is way offside and uncalled for

They never stay out of the shop, take my word for it. Melanie has a 40’ X 40’ barn and I still end up with her crap in the shop.
Nice job on the shed, you are going to trim the shingles, right? J/K I know you will.
You ain’t a bad carpenter for a Cable Guy, you put Jim Cary to shame.

Today was mostly clean up and put stuff away. I had s**t everywhere from the shop to the backyard. So shy of tripping on something and breaking my neck. Tomorrow I will start doors. Steve I trimmed the shingles off for you...Better?
