I tried to search for this thread, but no luck. So here goes..
I'm looking to install a vertical billet grill on my 03 silverado. All that I can find is overlay style grills. Does anyone have any cut out style grills installed? The overlays that I've seen are real cheap looking and I'm with spending the extra time to cut out and replace the whole grill... Thanks..

I know this isn't a vertical grille, but it is a cut-out billet grille! I agree the bolt-overs look like crap, it will be worth your time and effort.

I always thought that the grill that were overlayed were just a result of the guy not cutting out the old grill.
Is that correct?

Sorry I took forever, that is actually the stock grille that I cut the mesh out of. The billet grille is actually from a company called Trenz, it is the only billet grille on the market that is solid stainless. 99% of billet grilles are just faced with a black powdercoated backing, these grilles will set you back about $400 but not to many people have them. It took me about four hours of labor to install the grille, but I recently took it out for something shinier. I hope this helps you in your project............TRPLXL2
