Default Very Cool Event! Cadillac Team Escalade Texas event this week

I've been asked to be part of a Cadillac event this Thursday, very cool stuff.

GM is going to get 19 "local celebrities" (and I'm not one of them) to do a 3 hour-long ride and drive event for charity and they've asked me to ride around in one of the Escalades. I'm guessing they're going to get a mix of different people from sports celebrities to who knows? Actually,it's just a guess.

Here's the website: Team Escalade - Team Escalade

Here's the Press Release on it:

Six charities, 19 celebrities, four cities; one bold drive to change lives

DALLAS, Sept. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Cadillac dealers are launching Team Escalade Texas, a multimarket, multimedia campaign in Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin and San Antonio supporting six charities backed by 19 celebrities.
Team Escalade Texas is a charity challenge aiming to increase awareness and support for vital Texas charities. Six celebrity teams, with their chosen charities, will begin their September 22 to October 30 challenge to garner the most public support for their causes.

Texas Cadillac dealers will produce public service announcement videos for each of the six charities and provide them with paid media support to publicize and promote the PSAs at various Texas locations. During the month, people will vote, click and share their favorite charity's video. The charity that receives the most votes for its PSA through midnight October 30 will win additional paid media support valued at $150,000.

Built in Texas, the Escalade is the No. 1-selling full-size luxury SUV in America. Cadillac will provide 2012 Escalades to each of the celebrity teams and help raise awareness of the competing charities.

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Drew Pearson will lead Team Escalade Texas, and will travel to all markets to attend events and conduct interviews. Each charity also will be given an exclusive team that supports individual missions. Each team will consist of three celebrities, a radio station in Dallas and one in Houston that will provide station personalities for on-air support at events and more. The remaining 18 celebrities will be announced on September 22, 2011.

    The participating Texas charities are:
Eighteen Texas Cadillac dealers are providing support for the charity teams and are located throughout the state, including theAustin, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio metropolitan areas.

I'm trying to learn more about this event. I'm very interesting in learning who the other 18 celebrities will be. Remember, these will be LOCAL Dallas (or Texas) celebrities. Anyone have any thoughts based on the charities that are listed?

Ok, I just got the media list of all of the Big Names that are on here.

I'll post them up in the Cadillac Escalade (Chevy Tahoe) forum on this site in a short while.

Very cool. I haven't been in an Escalade for years and would be curious to see what they've done to the interior. Be sure to post a follow up on the event and your experiences please!
