can't get gsp cd back in!

first off, i was playing with my navigation system then all of a sudden the screen flipped open and the gps cd came out, so i took the cd out and tried to put it back in, but it won't go back in the cd slot, and i see there's 2 metal peices blocking it off so i can't put it in..if someone knows how to fix it or have and suggestions that would be awsome, because i can't use it without the cd!!

Seems like if it were able to come out you should be able to replace without much hassle. Did you make sure the power to the Nav system is on while you try to reinsert it. Sorry but I don't know much about this. Is it a stock Nav system or an aftermarket one? If it is an aftermarket could you list the model?

Sounds like the nav system thinks there is a cd in there and is preventing you from inserting it. I would try and reset the Nav unit by pulling the radio fuse, also see if there is a manual eject mechanism you can utilize to try and reset something.
