Default Raising vehicle with floor jack

Is it ok to raise the rear by placing floor jack under the rear differential? Want to have both sides raised and supported on stands.
Is there any place safe to place the jack to raise both sides of the front?

    Thanks,
    Don

    Default

I always lift my truck with the rear diff. I raise the front with the jack under the front cross member and then place the jackstands on the frame near the front doors.
