Thread: low voltage?

  1. #1

    Default low voltage?

    Hey guys,
my voltage on my truck always sits around 13.5-14 (eye estimate) but it never seems to be sitting at 14.1 like it should be... i saw it once last week sitting there but everyday i get in my truck its always below the 14 tick mark... i have noticed this for months... Does this indicate a problem or is this normal? I am doing the BIG 3 upgrade soon, and am hoping that if it is a problem it will be fixed by this...
    thanks!

Sounds about right to be honest. especially since the guages in the newer (96 up) trucks are run by the PCM and not a direct lead from the alternator itself, and sometimes can be a touch off.
