I need help on a 2004 suburban

Does anybody know if there is a defect and/or recall on the cd player in the 2004 suburban? Mine was broken into last wk and the body shop said that the cd player that stopped working the day of the breakin was not related to the break-in. Although I find that hard to believe we've heard since then by 2 other people who have 2004 sub. that theirs did the same thing and their might be a defect in the cd player, and I don't know how to find this out.

That sort of defect would not be isolated to the Suburban, as the cd player would be used in many GM models. Here is a list of the recalls on the 2004 Suburban. No mention of any cd player. You might want to make sure your vehicle has had all of the listed recall work done. From: caroops.com
