Default Thinking of getting my first boat. Can I launch one without 4x4?

Hey guys, I'm looking at getting my first boat here real soon, nothing too fancy, just something that floats and I can fish and cruise in. The one I am looking at now is a 1976 15' 2" Crestliner Muskie Boat.

I was wondering if I could pull and launch this boat just fine with my 4.3 2wd? I would hate to get stuck on a slippery ramp and have to ask someone with a Ram 4x4 to help me out lol. Any help would be appreciated.

i wouldnt think youd have any issues, i dont think ive ever been in a truck where the driver needed to put it in 4wd to get up the launch ramp

unless you are trying to launch the boat on sand instead of a boat launch, you should be fine. Most boat launches are built with grooves or ridges so that even when they are wet you should still be able to get traction.

ive seen one or two ramps were 4x4 was handy, but not an absolute must. throw a few bags of sand in the bed for slippery concrete and you should be fine.
