Newbie to the group with Antifreeze Leak question
Greetings from South Dakota everyone! I'm new to the group and first wanted to say thank you for having such a great resource for GM owners!
So here's the situation: The truck: Chevy Silverado w 454 engine. The problem: Antifreeze leak - I add 3/4 gallon every two weeks (has become more intense). Leak appears to be coming from in between the silver housing (which is composed of 2 units) and those units sit on top of the engine. The antifreeze is visibly dripping from the front and back of the engine and along side of the valve covers.
Appears this may be a gasket issue. Any other thoughts what the problem might be?
Thank you in advance for your replys,

Find someone with a pressure tester and fill radiator then hook up the tester and the pressure will show you the way. Sounds Like a gasket, but check it so you aren't just throwwing parts at it.2010 Chevy Silverado Z71 ext cab.4x4

X2. Dan, I am not familiar with the 454 but what you are describing sounds like a gasket or o-ring if it has the same funky hose connector used on the 5.7L.86 911 Porsche Carrera
