Exclamation 98 Chevy 1500 5.0 Wont Start Cold

I have a 1998 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.0 305 4x4. When i sits overnight or for a long time it will turn over fine but will not fire up. changed plugs, wires, starter, battery, battery cable to starter. Turns over just fine and fuel pump sounds healthy but will not fire up and run, UNTIL i put jumper cables on it and fires right up....??? and after i drive it and it warms up i can turn it off and start it just fine

Welcome to the club, Derek. Have you checked your fuel pressure? If the fuel pressure drops it will be hard to start until the f/p builds up. Maybe by the time you jump it the f/p has built up enough to start the truck. Does this happen after the truck has sat for awhile like overnight?

Check ur grounds and ur fuel pressure. Try turning the key to run and let it sit there for 10-15 seconds then crank it. If it fires up you need a fuel pump. Also check the vacuum on your fuel pressure regulator
