    Default newbie here....

    Hey my name is Travis..This is the first forum ive joined...heard alot about them....so needless to say im new to the game.....im out of Pensacola Fl. I have a 01 silverado, 4.3 vortec... wanting to turbo or supercharge it...trying to possibly find out which option might be possible or which would make more performance...not knowing to build the v6 up or just do a motor swap....

    Welcome, it all depends on your budget. You can always do a LQ9 6.0 or do a 408 stroker pretty cheap. Down side is if you add a lot more power and a V8 you will have to do supporting tranny mods to handle the power

    To engine swap or not that is the question? Well I have a 2001 s10 with the 4.3, and I already have an lt1 swap planned because in my opinion the v6 isn't worth beefing up. Basically a lot of it depends on how much you can do yourself, wiring, modifying, and upgrading is all part of the game.

    Wish I could afford an ls1 or ls2, but here in Ohio they're pretty pricey...
