Just because this is the internet and I don't want anyone suing me or trying to arrest me, this will be my official position: I always buy my music legitimately.
That being said, frostwire is basically the same as limewire... just not.
And for movies/tv shows/etc. there are torrents for pretty much anything. They could also be used for music too, but usually involve searching more than one place to find the best version of the file you want.
Bottom line is this: torrents and frostwire CAN both be used to download files that are not copy protected (these would be original, privately created files that the creator has knowingly and willingly made or allowed to be made accesable there). I realize that is not the primary use of these sources by most users, but it is the only use that can be condoned.

For liability reasons threads of this sort really do not belong on public or even private forums. If some anal retentive yahoo gets a burr up his/her rear about it ... s/he might go after the site, itself, just because someone wanting to steal music posted on his/her site. (That doesn't mean s/he'd ultimately win, it just means s/he'd impact an information/distribution medium and slow things via legal action.)
Please do us all a favour and avoid putting a site we all like (this one) in such a position; I'd hate to see something happen to a resource we all use just because we had thieves in our midst. I request this as someone who works in the computer security industry ... and as someone who regularly coordinates both with corporate legal departments and the authorities, as required.

I do believe that the title of this thread needs to be changed. The information of where to download files can be there given that there is no malicious intent (people use the info to download files people create are willing to allow such methods of distribution, not pirating copyrighted or restricted material), but the title of the thread could easily draw attention, especially from search engines.
