I had an 86 chev suburban with 4 barrel carb. I averaged 20.3 mpg which is much better than my '10 silverado with all the fuel saving equipment .
On the highway I averaged 80 mph. And yes I had the needle buried a few times. Nevada highway patrol clocked me@136 mph. Luckily he did not cite me.

hahahahaha how did he not cite you...im surprised you didnt end up in jail, yes a supra is a toyota, but it was a very fun car when i had it....i do kinda miss it

It was early in the morning and he said the only reason he chased me down was he needed and adrenaline rush to wake up.
He asked why I stopped. I told him I saw the lights and knew I couldn't out run him or his radio. We chatted for ten minutes before he got hungry and he told me to follow him and try to keep up. So for 35 miles I followed at who knows what speed. He pulls into a little diner as do I and we go have breakfast. The waitress brings the ticket out and with a big smile she says"Jake,I suppose this gentleman has offered to buy you breakfast" with a huge smile and nod of his head the ticket was placed by my hand . I busted up laughing. I told him it was worth every penny.
Since that day as I travel I always pay for any law enforcement or military man in the restraints I frequent.

Always extend respect to those who carried loaded fire arms and are charged with defending the public. LOL
Toyota makes nice automobiles. Thanks to their competition, Gm is a better company.

GM has always been a better company and built better vehicles. Lately the new GM seems more like hyundai motors.
Quality and support are degenerative in the NEW GM.

that is pretty awesome that the cop did that, must have been an older one im guessing, and one of my dream cars is a 1996 toyota supra with the 2jzgtte and 6 spd manual..... sooooooo fast

That is pretty cool! Cops are people to and are willing to cut you some slack but you have to be straight up with them. Otherwise it can be much more expensive.
Showing your age with that Supra Sarge. That car is what 16 years old.......LOL
