    gear_head,

    With your kit, the silver piece just slides over the metal rod that the crank is attached to? I'm trying to figure out how they work.
    2010 Equinox LT

    Correct, the silver part slides over the same shaft the manual handle was connected to. They are flexible and allow you to mount them where you have the most spare room in the door.

    05 1500, 4x4, 5.3, trailer package, G80.

    Just becareful cuz they aren't dust safe I burned up 2 window motors already and I had mine installed back in june

    Dust? I have had mine for a few years now with no troubles

    You might have gotten some super sensitive motors. But down here in South La. we don't have too much dust, mostly water and mud,
