    Default 98 Silverado computer issue

I just bought a 1998 Silverado ext cab 4WD short bed. The truck was a 305 V-8 and was switched to a 350 V-8 from a crashed truck. The problem is that the computer shows the VIN # for the 350 truck it came out of and not the VIN on my truck dash and door. When I go for inspection they question this , is there any way to transfer the correct VIN to the 350 computer. I have both computers.

you personally might not be able to do it but a dealer might the only problem is your vin# will be diffrent because u have different engine now and vin is based off of that
