Default Cabin Heat in 04 Silverado

Notice lately that my heater blows cold air into the cabin until the engine temp gauge needle is at 210 degrees. Heat used to come into the cabin when the engine was at a more reasonable temp. Cabin temp setting at 68-70 degrees.

Any ideas on why it takes so long to produce heat from the block? I don't recall it taking this long to send heat into the cabin.

That was my thought too.. I think my mechanic checked that out but I'll ask again.

I had the same problem with my 2004, I use to turn the dial to the windshield option until it warmed up. I never found the problem and considered it normal.
