    Default 1977 K20 Clutch issues

Hey all. Just limped my 1977 K20 home. I think my clutch is fried. It won't engage. I had to put it in first without it running and start it standing on the brakes just to get home. I tried to shift and nothing. When i got home i checked the linkage and it looks fine. I just dont want to replace something that I dont need to. Any ideas/info would help. Thanks.

From the symptoms it sounds like you do have a trashed clutch.
Normally though when they fry it'll slip and you can go anywhere, your problem sounds like it's not disengaging. Still a bad clutch package.

Could be as simple as a trashed throw-out bearing, but either way you have to pull the tranny to fix the problem.
If your pivot arm has come loose at the frame side it would also prevent you from disengaging the clutch.
