    Default SRS & ABS codes????

Is there a way to read the SRS and ABS codes on a 98 GMC Sierra?? I'm used to shorting 2 plugs on the DLC and reading flashes then checking it up in the service manual. Apparently I can't find any information for this about my truck though, it only specifies using a code reader with no alternatives.

if you go to any parts store they will let you use a code reader, usually they take your license and hand it to you and keep it till you bring it back. just have to plug it into the connector under the dash on drivers side and follow the directions on it. its real simple and most will tell you exactly what to do to fix it.
