    Default 4" Turbo-Back Exhaust on a 1994 k1500 5.7L??

    i have a 1994 chevy k1500 5.7l . i want to get a new exhaust for it. i really like the look of the 4 inch diesel exhaust.i want to buy a kit for the diesel trucks i am sure it will not built on due to i do not have a turbo, but will it fit under the truck without having to be modified? i am going to get a company to just weld the 4 in as close to front as they can but is there enough clearence under the truck to do this or am i wasting my time and money?

    A 4" exhaust is too big for a 5.7. You'll lose a lot of back pressure and might actually lose power, plus it looks kinda goofy on a gas truck IMO. If I were you I would invest in a nice cat-back exhaust like Magnaflow or MBRP, keep your pipe size to 2 1/2", nothing over 3". If you want you can get bigger exhaust tips but again, you don't want gigantic exhaust tips.

    Welcome to the G M T C ! I've seen a few trucks with the "4" to 6" at the front of the bed. As mentioned, I'd bet the "back pressure" is zero.

    Way to much exhaust for your particular engine, if you go this route you will be back under the truck sooner rather than later putting in a new exhaust.
