    Default ls engine swap

    i was wondering how much trouble it would be to swap a ls engine into my stock 95 chevy 1500 any advice would be greatly appreciated

    It's not difficult, everything you'll need is available from the aftermarket, but be prepared to spend about 10 grand. People think because it's a Chevy it's an easy cheap swap, but almost nothing interchanges between a LS engine and a Gen 1. Getting the complete low mileage engine/tranny combo with all accessories and ECM from a wrecking yard is usually about $4000-$5000. Aftermarket wiring harness is about $1200. Then you need LS style motor tmounts, exhaust, figure out the gauges, etc, etc. It all adds up fast. It'll be alot easier and cheaper to build up a 350.

    seriously, work the piss out of your 350...theres a reason GM puts them in everything
