Default high RPM shift/ rough shift

hey i have an 07, silverado extended cab with the 5.3L engine and is having a shifting problem. i can get into park, reverse and 1st just fine, but it'll rev up to 6-7 thousand rmp to change into second. it feels like the timing is off, or maybe its a cencer of some sort. i hear or feel no grinding of gears.
i need someone to help me out!! please and thank you

I had this problem in a car years ago and it was the mass airflow sensor, sounds weird yes but it was a Ford product.....
