Since I prefer to buy new, I have not needed to do much in the way of repairs in the last 15 years. I usually buy new, drive them 5-7 years and get rid of them. The most I've ever kept a vehicle is about 90K miles. After that many years, I want to look at something different. Since I take good care of my vehicles when I own them, I get good trade in values for them.

If it's something I'm not at all sure about, then i'll ask and do it myself. I always try to save my money and do it myself and knowing it'll be done right!
Every girl needs a few trucks, one for leisure...one as a toy! I got lucky, cause I got both!

Unless i need new tires on/alignment or stuff that just isn't possible without a lift or special equipment i won't pay a shop to do what can be done on my own. I enjoy working on my truck anyway. I think it's better to work on your own vehicle because you knows what there and learn more and more about it every time you work on something different.

My trucks are old so i do all the work on them myself....the newer cars I maintain to help keep from major repairs being done.

I like this. It sucks when your work vehicle is down. No car no work.

I do most of it myself, Brakes, belts, tuneup's, fuel pump, etc. But I still have trouble with stuff, like putting the pieces together to build the front bumper..... putting the new bumper on is a piece of cake.
