Default Help! I need info on led bulb's for halo rings in projectors!?

Hey everyone i was thinking about changing out the bulb's in my halo ring's in my projectors to either a blue or red. Idk what size mm the bulb's are for these new trucks sure there all about the same with each name brand projectors for these trucks. Also would it be legal for me to have red halo rings in my headlights? I will order the led bulbs also for the ones that go down the side of the headlights and between the halos also just need sizes for them also. I guess when i get my recon cab roof lights installed i will get that done also. I'm just trying to figure out exactly what i wanna do first and find out bulb size lol. I would apprecite answers and everything. Thanks, Jake

I believe the anzo's use the 168 led bulb's for there halo rings in there projector's but i have the eagle eye projectors but thinking it might be the same though. I believe i'm gonna go with the red led bulb's for the halo rings and that's it and maybe 2 red led bulb's for license plate bulb's also. Anyone let me know if you find out the correct size along with how many each halo ring needs. Thanks, Jake

How many non-emergency vehicles with DOT approved front lights have you seen using red/blue colours on their front lights on a public roadway? None. The reason is that red and blue lamps (of any kind) are reserved for fire/police/emergency vehicles and you run the risk of being stopped if you use either colour on your vehicle's front lamps while on a public roadway. Using them ONLY off road in your own back yard or on your own land is perfectly fine, just as you don't need a driver's license to drive around on your own land.

Other colours should be fine as long as you're not bleeding into the red or blue spectrums...

Yeah the blue led halo's i have seen before and a buddy on mine has them on a older silverado and hasn't been stopped. I believe i will go with the blue colored halo rings since the red will stick out more than the blue halo rings and allot of people here also have bright dark blue hid kits so it shouldn't be a problem. I guess for the liecense plate light i will just use so really bright white led bulb's and the halo rings i will use the blue ones. I just don;t know what size led's they are and they are kinda pricey just from looking online. I think they might have the same size as the anzo's since the halo rings are same size just different housing shape.

Can anyone help me out with this? I have been looking online and havent found anything other than the Anzo's had 168 Led bulb's that go into the halo rings. I think anzo makes eagle eye projector's but not 100% sure but if they do then i'm pretty positive that they are the same size?

The idea sounds great. The only thing that would keep me from doing the same thing would be what Surreal said. It's just not worth the hassle to me if I do get pulled over. I've seen green before, which looks great and I might think about if I had a black truck, but with my paint it doesn't appeal to me nearly as much.
