I put a wood rimmed aluminum 4 spoked Grant wheel on a '69 VW Beetle back in 1971. The wheel, horn kit, and the hub adapter cost me $49.95 plus tax. Since then, all my Grant experience has been gotten from watching Gearz.

Still looking for anything anybody may have done on this body style with no air bags. Anybody?

So how does one know for certain if the vehicle has air bag or not.
I checked out all my rpo codes and have nothing listed for any type of restraint system. I also have the empty storage "space" above the glove box.
My 2000 K2500 is a "hold over" old body style and also rated at 8600 GVWR.
It's got the extra heavy front suspension, snow plow prep, limited slip posi rear, HD trans cooling system, trailer tow package, etc... like a work truck.
I don't notice any air bag logo or srs logo on the steering wheel cover either.
I'm sure my insurance co would not like to hear that it doesn't have air bags. Can u say "rate increase"......

Check the fuse panel on the driver side of the dash. Probably no fuse in the "air bag" slot. Also, if horn button does not say srs or air bag, see if you can just pull it off. There are 4 plastic buttons that hold it in place.

Hope your steering wheel isn't worn out like mine.

Well, you could run it into a wall at more than 30 mph. No bang no bag.

Your insurance company already knows you don't have bags. They have your VIN.

For steering wheels, there's only the aftermarket mfg's, but for oem stuff, do you know about lmctruck.com?
