Default 02 Sensors And Cats Plz Help

Hey I have the 2006 silverado z71 and am lookin to either get rid of my cats or at least hollow them out. I am afraid that I am going to mess up my 02 fuel sensors and have problems witht he engine has anybody done this yet or have any knowledge to that.

You can get O2 sensor eliminators from a performance shop and you can then cut them out or hollow them without any codes being thrown. I imagine straight piping would be easier than hollowing, but that depends on how strict the laws are in your area. At least when hollowed, you still have a functioning appearance. I need to invest in some eliminators as well because with my exhaust, I have bypassed my existing cats, and I have to reset the codes every so often.
