Wow, this thread showed up in the "related threads" box at the bottom of a different thread. What a difference 4 years makes. The end of 2007 was the end of a boom cycle for auto sales in the US (and world) and things dropped off like crazy. They are picking up again, but it's Q4 2011, so that's 4 years of down sales and the bankruptcy of two out of three Detroit car companies and one got sold off and Ford just barely made it through (and they also took Government money).
What a difference 4 years makes.
