Question Spare tire lowering tool replacement.

I have a '95 Silverado, some of you may remember the "Six-pack Silverado" I bought for a Sixer of Highlife about a year ago. Well, to my amazement, after getting it running, the truck has been utterly reliable. So much so that I am about to put a new set of tires on it. It had no spare or spare tire tool kit. I bought an extra stock wheel and I'm going to keep one of the old tires as a spare, but I don't have the tool to lower the spare tire winch under the truck. If anyone could help me locate a replacement, or has an alternative that will get the job done I would sure appreciate the help. I've looked on eBay, and someone has the entire tool kit listed for $89, but all I need is what you insert through the bumper to lower the spare. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the best place to find something like that would be a junk yard. There is no shortage of these trucks and as a result, they are a large percentage of the nation's salvage yards. Most of the yards would probably just about let you have one!

I think you're probably right, I'll have to look around. Thanks!

I actually ended up making one out of some 1/2" round bar, came out pretty nice.
