    This is an M1028:

Just a standard Chevy pickup with a 6.2L diesel, TH400 transmission, Dana 60 front axle and GM 14-bolt rear axle. They're rated in the 1.25 ton class. There was a later revision of the 1028 where it got a Dana 70 dually rear axle. I'm not sure what the weight rating went up to with the dually axle.

Had my old 03 Cadillac Escalade (1/2 ton)loaded with a pallet of concrete mix which was about 2000lbs. The guy on the fork truck said "Oh yeah this oughta be fun" shaking his head "In a cadillac haha" he set it down and the back continued to lower and finally stopped. It dropped about 6 inches in the rear then I said "watch this" I turned the key and started it and the air assist kicked in and brought right back to where it was with nothing in it. The fork truck guy laughed and drove away... Wish I had a pic of it.. But here was a pic when I got loaded up for halloween last year..Almost a 1/4 face cord of wood, corn stalks and I think 21 pumpkins.lol 6 pumpkins were tinyClick image for larger version.
