Finally got my first fish of the season and managed to pull in a couple of striped bass off Montauk point. Great trip and a beautiful day.

16 pounder, my first striper ever.

    Great night out

in about two weeks we will be venturing to the UP to do some trolling. Thats when the real season starts for me. All summer I've just been casting and haven't had much luck at the small spots in ohio. Hopefully I'll have some good pictures of northern pike and musky to post

Going catch some Specks tomorrow hopefully in the bay in Pensacola. Haven't been doing much fishing from a boat lately except for July 4th when I caught 4 fish in 2 days...it was tough fishin though as they had lock jaw that weekend someone did manage to sneak in some pictures though. Been doing some bank fishin and catchin mostly sacalait ((pronounced sock-a-lay) Crappie to you northern folk)

Good luck, let us know how you do. Sock-a-lay sounds a lot better than crappie, especially for eating.
