I'm glad things are hopefully rolling in your favor now that your insurance company is going to bat for you. Congrats on your up and coming family addition as well!

Steve you do know that you can tell your insurance company to go pound sand right?

File a third party claim with her company and then sue your own company after for their own disregard for the reports. Get all the police reports together and file them along with your bills and just send them to her company.

It is probably the only way you will get the full amount in a reasonable time.

It the other way around, my insurance (Response.com) is doing great. Her insurance is Farmers (a mega-conglomarate corportation) and they are being a pain.

I took the Trailblazer in to the shop yesterday. They'll have a look at it, tear it down, and I'm sure they'll come up with a lot of additional stuff.

About the little one, yeah we're now in the 2nd month, so we're still got a while left to go, but we'll have two kiddos for Christmas 2008!

My bad, I thought Farmers was your company. In that case your company should be doing the work with their company.

They should just be paying for the damage to your truck, totaled or not. Then they should be going after her company.

That’s why we have our own collision coverage so we don’t have to deal with the other guys companies like Farmers.

    Good luck Steve

It's just surreal. I figured this whole thing would have been over with. I knew something was fishy when the claims adjuster started hitting me with very leading questions. Either way, I wasn't in the wrong ... don't get me started again.

This is why the number one rule at any accident site is never admit anything weather you were at fault or not. There will be an investigation no matter what is stated in the reports. As stated you have insurance and I would tell the representative from the adversary's insurance that they need to go to them. You don't have time to get sideways with these people. That is why you caryy insurance in the first place.

Great maneuver to file a complaint with the Insurance commission! I bet that got their attention.

Good luck with your struggle! Gotta got to church.

Farmer's pulled some s**t like that on me 2 years ago. Friend of family down the way borrowed their pickup, came down our street playing dumb kid, slid into the side of my (at the time) Ramcharger, crossed the street and totaled 2 vehicles. Farmers denied responsibility because the owner filed a stolen vehicle report 16 hours later.... Don't ya just love it! Glad you're okay.
