    Angry new menber big fish

    Cant run computer very good so bear with me.I just got a 1986 gmc 1/2 4x4 350. I have a problem with it blown intake gaskets frnt and back. changed them three times with know luck.I was told by a friend that if it has to much pressure so i put another fitting in the intake havent tried it yet. also its a new eng. it only has 1000 miles on it.said to check compression to see if i had bad compressin in a cyl. it runs great ecept for the intake.if anyone could help.thanks for the help. big fish

    Welcome to the club. I cant help with your problem, but you may want to stick the question in the General tech section as it will get more traffic from those with more know how.

    Welcome.
    On your new engine, do you have a PCV valve? That ventilation system should help relieve the normal pressure from inside the engine. Oil isn't normally standing in that area, so if it is blowing it out of the front and back, you have too much pressure inside the engine.

    89 K Blazer 4" lift 35x12.5x15, warn hubs, cut out flares. Soon to have headers, posi carriers, gears.
    2000 K2500 Crew Cab 5.7 285/75R16's. 3" Body lift. Suspension parts being ordered.
