Front door sticking on 99 Tahoe

The driver door on my 99 Tahoe is sticking. When you pull the interior handle
you have to body block the door open with your shoulder to get it open.
My mother-in-law drove it last night and pulled on the handle untill it broke off. I see how to replace the handle, but im wondering if the door or
door catch can be adjusted to bring more satisfaction to my mother-in-law's Taho driving experience.

I have 97 silverado and he was doing the same thing...first of all you should change your door pins and bushing and look on your door ketch they might be a little part of metal sticking out. if you want i will send you a picture of the metal parts that gave me a hard time. And finally if after that you still have problem openin or closing your door you can go to a body shop they have a special tool to level your door.
