    Ported boxes tend to be much more forgiving then sealed when it comes to subwoofer travel...much more.

    As nice as it would be to do a ported box i just need to much rm under my seat and i dont have that much

    Sealed will suit you better. Ported boxes restrict how accurate your subs will replicate different frequencies

    well thats good then. now im doing a custom sub box for my swr-t12 from alpine and was wondering cna i put lexan windows in the sub box even if its a sealed box

    Yea that's fine but you will lose out on SQ because plexi isn't as dense as MDF. Lotta guys who like to show off build boxes like that with plexi windows. I'm not talking about a band pass box incase someone thinks I am.

    i was going to run lexan not plexi but it will not be the whole box it will be more liek a 5"x7" window but wil i lose alot of sq if i do this

    For that box and what you listen to I would NOT worry about it as long as everything is sealed..
