    Default 1998 chevy z71 4x4 5.7 pitman & idler arm replacement

I have a 98 z71, need to replace pitman and idler arm's, looks very easy but the nuts to get them off are almost laying on the frame, no room tto put the puller on the pitman. Any idea's?

    Thanks

I have seen a few guys recommend completely removing the bottom bolts on the steering gear box. Then loosen the top bolts so you can swing it out and get a puller on it to get the pitman arm off.

What he said. It's the only way to do it, other then pulling out the gearbox.
