And in my case the manufacturer ships the truck to a GM "approved" upfit or "aftermarket" company, puts the bigger diameter rims and tires on, then ships it to the dealer to sell with no gearing done. Very shabby business practice if you ask me.

i had 456 in my 78 chevy it was quick in the take off but had no top in and i put 373 in better top in but i drove it more on the hi way.
