I like my Flowmaster for the money you can't beat it.

Exhausts are rather like restaurants -- there's a million choices and everyone's got his/her own taste/preference. You need to decide how much exhaust you're doing (muffler only? catback? more?) ... and also decide if you're going to adjust it from stock single out in some way (dual out? true dual out? straight back or off to each side?). From there decide on your budget ... and then pick from the plethora of options. Common choices are Flowmaster, Magnaflow, Borla, and Corsa. You might check youtube to see how these sound on trucks -- just tailor your search appropriately.

The least amount of drone would be the corsa exhaust at crusing. I got mbrp and i can hear my exhaust a little at highway speeds. But its nothing like the exhaust i got on my 2001hd it has true duals from magna flow and that thing is just annoying on long trips

Yup -- it's a toss-up between Flowmaster and Magnaflow as to which has the most drone.

I have found a single (as in ONE) aftermarket exhaust for this 2012 (FlowMaster 409 stainless)...but I don't trust the listing because it lists both a 2011 and 2012, which are different frames right? I'll probably just stay OE until the aftermarket catches up...I really want a 304 stainless exhaust.

I have a question, does changing exhaust help mileage any (real world, not lab testing)? Or is the factory exhaust good enough?

Agreed, exhaust is a personal choice and is hard for people to recommend as it really depends on the sound that YOU like. We carry several of the major brands and they all do well depending on what you want to do.
Yes, an exhaust can help with fuel mileage, especially when combined with an intake and tuner. The more efficiently your engine works and breathes, the better the performance. The trick is keeping your foot off the gas as most people want to hear/see/feel the performance!!
