My eyes!!! They are burning!!! Guess the engineers designed this one in the dark or just on a Tuesday before lunch. I can imagine the conversation. "We'll copy the Toyota rear section and mate it to the Cruze!".. "Our work here is done!" I don't care if they sell a billion to Asia. The only way I'd buy one is if I move there and they cost $5. .. YMMV

I wish GM would take a clue from Toyota and Honda and finally build vehicle that when driven feels like your driving a vehicle that costs alot more than you paid. I am by no means a inport fan but my neighbor recently bought a new Tacoma, and the overall feel of every surface [seats, dash, doorpanels, switches] is so much more high end feeling. I am comparing it the Colorado I drive everyday at work which has hard plastic everywhere on the dash and door panels, its just feels cheap kinda like a mini truck from the 80s or early 90s. The Colorado costs about the same, maybe a little cheaper, but it seems that GM has the attitude of its good enough. Whatever happened too GM vehicles having that I got a lot for my money feel. If they built a truck that made people feel like they were getting something better instead of something not quite as good but hey it still says Chevy on it. I'm not just picking on the Colorado its the same with the new Silverado. The dash in the trucks with the base dash is just black hard plastic boring with no style. WTH happened, the 99-07 trucks had a classier looking set-up without having to spend a bunch more for the upgraded one. Did they make it cheap looking just so people would want the high end dash? I think GM really needs to step up its game.

What Boonduff said!
Also i want one in 2wd with a fuel efficent 4cyl, and 5spd, but give me all the other options. I dont want to be stuck with a work truck because i want fuel effency! also i live to have a manual transmission which actually makes a 2wd useable here in the deep snow we get here in northern MNMike

2009 Saturn Aura XE (wifes car)

You hit on a key point Murdog. If you want a manual transmission, you have to get the bottom of the barrel on options. There was a time when the manual transmission was the PREFERRED transmission. It is probably to much to ask, but when I spend thousands of dollars, any the heck can't I get it like my hamburger; my way?!

No kidding! my thing is i also want the smaller motor with all the options.. when i buy a small truck i am buying it to use as a small truck. i will have a big truck to do the work of a big truck! but if im going to be in the darn thing every day let me have what i want.. I actually gave props to ford on this you could order the 2.5L 4cyl and a 5spd with all of the options! that meant 27plus mpg and a nice comfy ride! The colorado was just to far out of my price range and thanks to the milage with the options that i wanted i might as well have gotten a bigger more powerful and just as fuel efficent silverado. Makes no sense.. As mentioned toyota has that part down. GM needs to get there
Also chevy wake up and make a 4cyl diesel option for your smaller trucks, and let me option it how i want. Similar to VW and their TDI Jetta, you can order it from a plane jane to a fully loaded leather liner.
I may live in snow country but if i want a 2wd that is fine. I have a fullsize 4wd that will get me around if im afraid to take the darn thing out.

Looks like a fair approximation of a Ford F-150 from the late '90's. In other words, a shapeless ill-defined lump.

I love my 2006 stretch cab, but won't be replacing it with what I see in the spyphotos. I've long wanted to swap to a Chevy Six from a Trailblazer when (if) my I5 ever wheezes to a stop. Seeing what GM would have me driving next, that's all the more reason to plan on doing so.Last edited by killbucket; 11-27-2011 at 06:59 AM.
