    It is really easy to paint them whatever color you like.

    The second thread is for a Tailgate Handle but you can use the same principles.

    You don't really need to sand the bowtie if you use primer or adhesion promoter, or just sand very lightly.

    I did mine matte black and left instructions, pictures and product information in the how-to section under the bowtie section. Ive had mine done for almost a year and havent had any chips or discoloration
