2002 Silverado Re-Gear?
I have a 2002 Silverado LS extended cab 5.3 Automatic and 3.73 gears with the 8.5 rear end. This is not a big deal because I still have plenty of get up and go but I did notice a drop when I changed from the stock 30.1 diameter tires to the tires I have now and they are 31.2. I would simply like to regain the take off power I had or even make it better by re-gearing. Any suggestions on the new gear? I'm sure someone on here has done this already. Any help is appreciated.

i willthird the 4.10s. any lower and you will be cranking the rpms at highway speeds and your mileage will go into the toilette. going to 4.10s would give you a boost of the line, but keep the rpms resonable.
a axle swap would probably be your best bet. find a 6 lug with 4.10s in it and be done with it, if those exist, not to sure about that.
my personal choice would be a 6.0 swap, but thats me.

do some research on doing it..its tricky but if you get a dial indicator and dial caliper you could do it yourself and save the cash
