Default 2003 Z71 Lift kit question

Hello eveyone I am new to this forum. I own a 2003 Z71 4X4 Silverado all stock suspension. I would like to raise it a bit now that it is time to replace my tires and wheels. I have everything stock. My brother has a 2500 HD Diesel with EZ Lift 2.5 kit and equivilant tires to 33's. I know his truck is bigger than mine framewise. He has Dick Cepek LT285 R16's which are quite agressive. My question is if I lift my truck with the same lift kit will those tires also fit my truck.

    Any help will be appreciated

Yep. My brother has 2 inch keys and fits 285 75 16s no problem on his 99 Sierra.

If at first you don't succeed, get a bigger cheater bar.

1999 GMC Sierra SLT Z71 | 5.3 "Vortec" | Spectre "Cold Air Intake" | TransDapt TBS | Hypertech 30005 Tune | 2005 Chevy Tail Lights | Denali headlights | Grill Mounted Fog Lights | AWS Bug Shield | 265/70/16 Futura Scramblers | Boss HD Speakers | 2005 Overhead Console | Flowmaster Super 40 mufflers 2N1O | Mostly stock-ish
Bigger Amp Alternator | Electric Fans | Transmission Fluid cooler | Paint (Halfway there)| Interior Restoration/Upgrade with newer model parts | Window Visors (In channel) | Tint | Low-Profile Tool Box | LEDs throughout stock cab locations (68% Done) | And whatever is spurr of the moment

Yes, 33s will fit with that amount of lift. You should be able to just about fit them stock, but will have some rubbing issues. Leveling it or lifting it just a bit should be enough to safely clear 33s with no rubbing.

    To Be Completed (Eventually):
6" BDS Suspension lift | KingShocks Front and Rear Coil Overs | 4.56 Gears | 35" A/Ts (TBD) | Cervinis 07-12 Silverado Ram Air Hood | Fab Fours Front Winch Bumper (CS07-H2051-1) | Fab Fours Full Size Rear Bumper (CS07-W1850-1) | RX-2 Series Main Grille (Black) | Line-x Bed and wheel wells | Skid Plates | Rizor Automated Tonneau Cover | Custom Bed Insert | RBP RX-3 Series Nerf Bars | Kenwood Excelon DNX9990HD | JL Audio Stealthbox (2x500RMS) | JL Audio HD 1200/1 Class D Mono Amp | JL Audio C5-653 Components (Front) | JL Audio C5-650 Components (Rear) | JL Audio Slash v2 300/4v2 Class A/B Amp

Ok I am gathering information I have the tools to install the kit myself. His 2500 has huge cavernous wheel wells compared to my Z71. Are you sure with the EZ Lift 2.5 I can accomplish the same wheel/tire combo? My truck is 2003 Stock 16 inch wheels. He has 16 inch wheels also. Just the addtion of custom wheels wich are wider and sport the Dick Cepek Tires which gain 30% more rubber. Will I encounter any rubbing problems?

I'm doubting you'll have any rubbing issues.

My Tires are almost gone now they sqeek the pavement now. Gotta use 4W to drive in the rain even in SoCal.

No problem. When you get it done you should post up some pictures so we can bask in your truck's glory.
